Design elements report

students are to visit a department store in women shoes category in person over the next week to observe and document design elements and principles.

Directive:
1. Observe the principles of Design and describe for each how they are related to the store environment. (Unity, Harmony, Repetition, Balance, Rhythm, Contrast, Emphasis,Surprise)
2. Observe the Design Elements and describe for each how they are related to the store environment. ( Color, Texture, Proportion, Direction, Size, Shape, Line, Sequence, Tension)
3. Discuss the overall effect of these elements on the store environment. Conclude with your opinion and impressions of the store environment and include suggestions for improvement.
