Critique of qualitative research study.

Introduction:

The methodology and analysis sections of a research proposal are considered to be two of the most important. In this task you will use the knowledge and skills you have learned to evaluate the methodology and data analysis sections of an existing research study.

Task:

Select one of the three attached research studies and evaluate the methodology choice and data analysis used by the researchers by doing the following:

A. Discuss the methodology used for the study.

1. Discuss whether this research methodology was appropriate for the study.

B. Describe the data analysis section of the research study. Include the following in your description:

• The data collection methods

• The instruments used for data collection

• The data collected

1. Discuss whether the data collection strategies and process was reliable.

C. Describe the techniques used to analyze the collected data (e.g., statistical techniques, computer analysis programs).

1. Evaluate whether the data analysis techniques were appropriate.

2. Evaluate how the researchers interpreted the results of the analysis to assist in answering their research questions.

D. If you use sources, include all in-text citations and references in APA format.
