Christianity is strongly believed to have originated from Europe and spread to various other locations. The spread of Christianity is considered to have been spearheaded by the missionaries before the colonization period, which slowly eroded the traditional culture and belief in the various regions (Noll, 2012). The turning point offers insight into the origin and spread of Christianity, which aimed to expand beyond the west. The post illustrates Christianity’s origin and the thriving of the religion through the various hostilities to becoming an international religion with its influence moving across to Africa and different other continents such as America. The spread of the religion was also championed by the colonization and westernization of the various regions. The post further expounds on the various missionary works and how they supported the spread of religion hence the post related to the course assignment of expanding Christianity beyond the West (Noll, 2012). The post correlated to the assignment on advocating against the various vices in society, such as slavery in Africa, common in the spread of Christianity beyond the west. The post also covers Christianity’s spread to the United States and various parts of Europe and India.

I agree with the post that missionaries played a role in spreading Christianity across the globe. The missionaries were the highest contributors to Christianity’s spread to various locations such as the United States, Africa, and India. I also affiliate my support to the post’s description of the hostility the Christians experienced in the spread of Christianity in different parts of the world, such as France, where the French natives were against the replacement of the established Roman Catholic religion. However, I disagree with Christianity having a significant influence on the United States’ leadership since before Christianity; there was still leading in the United States (Noll, 2012). Christianity does not account for the emergence of civilization and the rise of the United States’ great economic power. I also do not agree with the post of the future generation God since the various other societies had their faith in Supreme Being just like God, hence eroding various organizations’ cultures.

The post has a strong point in the revival of missionary activities during the eighteenth century. For instance, the post explains the rise of the various churches in Europe and Orthodox. It also explains the resistance of monarchs in Europe, where industrialization had already taken place. The post also explains the rise of religion in East Africa and Africa. The post also expounds on India’s missionary activities and the spread of Christianity in India, and the Bible’s publication (Noll, 2012). The post has a strong point in countering the cost of the spread of Christianity where several missionaries were killed in their missionary work, like the fifty men and women who died in the church missionary society in Sierra Leone. The post illustrates a strong point in the account of the reasons for the expansion of the Roman Catholic dominion instead of Pentecostal Christianity, which is based on the unity illustrated among the Roman Catholic community as opposed to the Pentecostal Christianity. The post has powerfully expounded on the Second Vatican Council, which reversed various decisions in support of the Roman Catholic. The post has further explained with supporting evidence on the unity of the Roman Catholics as well as its strong connection with the various traditional practices hence its growth.

The post has enabled me to understand the evil side of missionary work in the spread of Christianity. The missionary coerced various societies to ditch their traditions to adopt the new models and culture, such as attending churches which slowly killed the various rules. However, it brought along the modern education system (Noll, 2012). The Christian missionaries pushed for the culture adoption in different societies despite the resistance; hence, this has championed my self-believe in whatever task I am tackling despite the resistance and the battle. The post expounds on the goals and ambitions that the missionaries employed in their efforts to achieve the spread of Christianity, which seemed impossible to achieve. This has challenged my efforts in venturing into whatever I have passion for undertaking despite the various obstacles which can be accounted for in the venture.

The post illustrates the spread of Christianity and education, hence the change in the various societies through the introduction of education as the locals were able to read and write English, hence modern society. The post also expounds on the missionaries’ struggles, such as the murder of the various missionaries in Uganda and Sierra Leone (Noll, 2012) (Noll, 2012). The religion was strong though it was unable to conquer the Middle East.

The post does not account for the Christian’s Islamic counterattack on converting the Muslim to Christianity (Noll, 2012). Various other students’ peers disagree with the post on the various aspects, such as eliminating the different native cultures and the forced change of culture as the westernization of the community.

The initial cost could be improved by illustrating the various traditional models in the moderation of the current board. The initial cost is also improved by describing the various tactics that the missionaries used to conquer the various communities in Europe. The post could be improved by illustrating the various societal beliefs on the supreme being, just like as it is advocated for in Christianity to illustrate the change.

Suppose all Christianity and education were in the betterment of the future. Why did the missionaries destroy the various cultures rooted in the various communities in which the missionaries gained roots? Was Christianity a selfish venture if spreading Christianity, or was it propaganda, in which each society could improve and preserve culture as well as spread its civilization
