Kay Granger is the first Republican woman congressional representative in Texas. She has served as a congressional representative for the Texas 12^th district since the year 1998 to date. She is a former teacher. She went to Texas Wesleyan University. The current senator is the John Cornyn III. He has served as a junior senator since 2003 on a Republican ticket. He attended Trinity University, majored in journalism and graduated in 1973. In 1977, at the St. Mary’s University School of law, he earned himself a J.D and in 1995, earned an LLM at the University Of Virginia School Of Law.

John Richard Perry a former military office in the Air force is the current and 47^th governor of the great state of Texas. He was first the lieutenant governor from 1998 and rose to governorship in the year 2000 when George W. Bush became the President of the United States. He has served three terms since the 2002 to date. The current Texas Lieutenant Governor is David DewHurst. He has been in the position since 2003. He began his third term in 2011 that ends in January 2015. He attended the University of Arizona where he attained a bachelor’s degree. He served in the Air Force and served as an officer at the Central Intelligence Agency. He has also had experience in the U.S state department.

The Texas House state 12^th District representative is James White. He graduated from Prairie View A & M University, B.A. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in political science. His term expires in 2013. The Texas Senate House Representative in District 12 is the Republican Senator Jane Nelson. She attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a B.S
