Sonu Nigam

Sonu Nigam was born in the month of July 30 1973 in Haryana. He went to school at the J.D Tyler School in Delhi and later moved to Delhi University for his college education. His father, Agam Kumar is a famous singer who played a significant role in shaping Sonu’s music jump off. Sonu started accompanying his father to performances in different wedding and birthday ceremonies, in Delhi, India. Sonu’s first stage performance was when he sang ‘Kya Hua Tera Vada’ with his father. He was only three years old at the time. This was a famous song from the movie “Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi“. This performance was beginning of his career. Sonu won every singing competition he took part in until the age of 18 when he moved to Mumbai to launch his singing career (moron).

 

Sonu became the host of a radio show in 2006 called ‘Life Ki Dhun’. This show ran on Radiocity 91 FM and it can be followed online. On his show, he has been able to interview eminent personalities in the music and film industries. One of his most treasured guests on his show was the celebrated Lata Mangeshkar (cultural India). Sonu’s good looks have earned a place in the film industry and his alluring voice has ensured that he has a massive following both online and physically. Through his music and films, he continues to inspire many budding musicians in India and beyond.
